As I am

ME

Every man’s opinion

Of which way to go

Just might be the right decision

For the person that they know

But no one really knows me

They don’t even understand

That every eye that’s laid upon me

Sees a different kind of man

Some think I am a happy man

Some think that I am sad

Some think I am regretful

For what I could have had

Some think I have a temper

Some say patience is my thing

Some say I show depression

To others happiness I bring

It doesn’t really matter

Where life takes me I will go

And to all who love or hate me

I’ll be the man they think they know

To those who have not met me yet

It remains to be seen

Who is the person you will get

I wonder who I’ll be

To those who think they know me well

I will try to do my best

To understand this living Hell

That puts us to the test

To all who have misunderstood

I am but just a man

Here’s to those who really care

And take me as I am
