Daylight Hides the Stars

Daylight Hides the Stars

Does light exist without the darkness

Does dark not compliment the light

Does day not separate from night

Then reunite and not ask why

I believe the best of times

Are passing through our lives

Not the other way around

If we would never say goodbyes

Whatever could be found

To bring as sweet surprise

Appreciate some sacrifice

Understand when lies are nice

Try as you might

You won’t always be right

Know when and not to bring the fight

But always stand your ground

In between what’s yours and mine

Is where a helping hand is found

Don’t be too weak

Don’t be too proud

Everything should balance out

As long as we don’t lean too far

Skinning knees and leaving scars

Indeed that can be learned from

What it means to see the person

As imperfect as we are

Just as daylight hides the stars

Love this one! Love the tone, lesson and imagery so eloquently written with a sweet melody to it. Keep it up honey. 👏👏👏
