Climate Change
Pardon the lack of endearing apology
Fear is legitimate
Regarding heir quality
As climate change
Is abolishing shame
No drought of destruction
The flood of corruption
Rages under entitlements reign
Strangely transparency,
Once about clarity,
Has us engaged in Caesarian ways
Birth of the manic generation
Raised by an ungracious Nation that preys
On weak education, race, gender and age
Content with destroying
The genuine glory
Of women and men who actually gave
While political envoys enjoy the parade
All of the way to immunity’s bank
Tell me,
Who do you think we should thank
For dragging us down
And drowning our dreams
Equality found
As our streets fill with strays
Sounds like the 1930’s again
On the brink of world war three
Wondering who will be our allies
President and senators standing by cow-eyed
With so many hands
And so little grease
As they take from the taxpayer
All they can squeeze
Into an inclement future
