Tomorrow’s Inspiration
My evening faithful hummingbird friend
Hovers at less than a six-foot distance
Mirrors my movements left and right
The conversation mimics
Mirco-helicopter chopping
Delicate wings and body throbbing
Gently massaging
My grateful heart and inner ear
With such a comforting message to hear
Go and sip from sweetest petals
Purposely scattered throughout the yard
Irish whiskey neat for me
I sit and draw from deep cigar
Watching beauty that you are
Iridescent glitter flickers
In and out of shade and sun ray
Aeronautic model
Flitter down your runway
Up until
The night should come
With disappointing sorrow
Then return to me again
This same time tomorrow
I can see and feel the scene from this poem. It’s beauty and peace and rest and awe all wrapped in a tiny winged creature. Creation can be some amazing. Thank you for capturing and highlighting it.
